Accessibility and Inclusivity

Our commitment to accessibility and inclusivity is real, we believe that all should be able to use our wonderful surroundings without limitations. We are also aware that at the Ashbourne end of The Tissington Trail there is the site of a former viaduct which is now demolished and laid to trail with chicanes fitted to each side due to the steep slopes. On this section of the trail it is requested by the Peak District National Park Authority that cyclists dismount and walk for health and safety reasons. Experience tells us that it is extremely difficult to successfully negotiate this section of the trail on/with specialist equipment. This knowledge combined with the space constraints within our premises has led us to choose not to stock specialist accessible equipment. We are, however, more than happy to refer people with such requirements on to the nearest local businesses who can help them, we have a good knowledge of what is offered in the area so why not give us a ring and pick our brains? We’re sure we can help somehow.

We do however stock e-bikes which are fantastic for a range of accessibility issues for example; those who need extra assistance for reasons such as needing/recently receiving joint replacements, sports injuries, asthmatics and for those grandparents who would just love to easily keep up with their grandchildren on a family day out!
